Angel:
Just to let you know that as of this writing packages have been sent to all the names you have given me.

Some packages were personal hygiene items, some personal items, and some were miscellaneous food items.

We had donations of items delivered to the Firehouse on April 26,2008 and we had monetary items (we purchased items and used some for mailing).

Schools sent letters and drawings to the soldiers, One school took on the project of just writing letters to SSG Saldana's group, the others were directed to all the soldiers.

This was along with a collection of items for all soldiers, that we added to the items we purchased and packaged 47 packages.

These packages were mailed and hopefully will be received by all the listings you gave me: SSG. SALDANA (AND HIS GROUP) all addressed to SSG. CPT. TEPLESKY (AND HIS GROUP) all addressed to CPT. AND ALL 12 FEMALES

We were contacted by a local National Guard Unit who said he had a unit in Afghanistan of 300 of that 26 were local men.. We sent several packages to them also.

Thank you for the assistance you have given me. Hopefully we will continue to send packages to the troops, as long as we have continuation of donations.

Helping to keep our troops in good spirits

I heard from and stayedin contact with SGT Comrie. Her tour was extended beyond the Nov 07 date. She was due home to TX 15 Jan 08. It was a wonderful experience sponsoring her. I ended up for Christmas sponsoring her entire troop of 56 with Christmas stockings. So, if you have another one that needs some support from home, please send one my way.

Thank you,
Desiree L Bowman

Dear Angel,

My name is Monikka Wilson. I am with Lockton Companies, LLC, an insurance brokerage company out of St. Louis, MO. Each month our associates adopt a cause to support. For January 2008, we decided to do a Troop Care Package. The turnout was amazing. Many associates brought in food, toys and magazines. We also collected $368 to purchase additional snacks for the 1st Platoon, 2nd Transportation Company. We shipped 16 paper boxes full of goodies along with letters, pictures and a few disposable cameras for the troops to use and send back to us.

Thank you so much for your help and all of the work you put into the website.

Sincerely,
Monikka Wilson
